One thing the NFL and BJJ have in common are injuries. Those that do either sport long enough know that it’s not a matter if, but when you’ll have to deal with an injury. For professional football player Brandon Brooks, he knows this first hand.

For the second time in two years, Brandon Brooks tore his Achilles tendon preparing for the football season. This is a devastating blow to a guy with a pro bowl pedigree, but like the true professional he is, Brooks is already starting his rehab process, and part of that process includes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

On Wednesday, Brooks shared that video from his jiu jitsu instructor and said, “The work don’t stop. You improvise boot and all.”

We’re cheering for you Brandon! Here’s to a speedy recovery! Oss!
